5-min Morning routine
A synergistic trio:
Goal setting, Motivation & Emotional Health
Morning journaling to prime your mind, based on an episode by Andrew Huberman. (One word answers are totally acceptable.)
- Gratitude: Start by listing 5 things you're grateful for, big or small. It could be anything from a warm cup of coffee to a supportive friend to the vibrant sunrise. This sets the tone for a positive and appreciative outlook on the day.
- Day Plans: Briefly outline your key goals and tasks for the day. This provides a sense of direction and purpose, preventing feeling overwhelmed or scattered.
- Fears and Resentments: Acknowledge any worries or negative emotions bubbling beneath the surface. Writing them down helps you become aware of them and potentially address them head-on, preventing them from hindering your progress.
- Potential Roadblocks: Consider any anticipated challenges or distractions that might come up. This proactive approach allows you to strategize or prepare mentally, making you more resilient in the face of obstacles.
- Striving Points: Clearly define your aspirations for the day, beyond mundane tasks. They could be personal growth goals, creative pursuits, or acts of kindness you want to accomplish. This adds a sense of purpose and motivates you to push beyond routine.
These five journaling prompts, ideally done first thing in the morning, help cultivate a mindful and emotionally intelligent approach to your day. By starting with gratitude, setting intentions, acknowledging negativity, planning for challenges, and focusing on aspirations, you create a mental framework for success and well-being.
